project summary

Redbox is a rapidly growing, automated kiosk, DVD rental company with more than 30,000 locations nationwide. Their hoteling space, located in the River North neighborhood of Chicago, needed to be redesigned to mirror their philosophy and brand. Carrying through their existing office culture, Redbox reintroduced “social zones” with huddle rooms for informal teaming. They reinvented their floor plan by significantly lowering workstation panels to improve visibility across wide office spaces, enhance connectivity and increase employee communication capabilities.

project summary

Recently completed, a New York Financial Firm's North American headquarters project in New York City required a design solution that was classic, sophisticated and functional. Special attention was paid to creating a comfortable and stimulating work environment for the large number of traders. Because of their day-to-day needs, the two-floor facility features a 250+ person state-of-the art trading floor. A new floating glass, steel, and stone stair was built to connect the upper executive floor and conference center to the trading floor which runs the full length of a city block. Working closely with the clients, the team optimized simple elegance using floor-to-ceiling glass walls, bold contrasts of light against dark wood veneer casegoods to create an elegant yet durable workspace.
